A white line appears in the audio clip. It should be set at 0 db, that is the standard starting point.

Click and drag it up or down with the selection tool to increase or decrease volume of this individual clip.

Method Two: Right click an audio clip or set it of audio clips and select -> audio gain.

A dialogue box will appear where you input the amount of gains (including negative gain) to increase or decrease audio.

This is the great way to quick adjust audio level for multiple clips.

Method Three: Use audio mixer. Go to the Window – Audio Mixer – and select the squence you want to adjust.

Now you can adjust the audio level for entire tracks.

This is very beneficial if you are organize-d and have separate-d audio, such as music on one track, interview one track, and audio or sound effects on another track, like that.

That is! There third ways are better than one! I’ve only recently started to use each way in more creative situations. I usually use method 1.

But now I try to organize my self and put any music on one track, and separate the interview audios on individual tracks.
